Boat Tour from Trapani to Macari, San Vito Lo Capo, Zingaro Nature Reserve & Scopello

From Trapani, the ancient Drepanon founded by the Carthaginians, we set sail towards the coast that has inspired poets and filmmakers from all over the world.

Our first stop takes us to a hidden corner of paradise, still largely untouched by mass tourism. Here, you’ll find crystal-clear blue waters, perfect for swimming among schools of colorful little fish. Remember to look around, because the privileged view of Monte Cofano, a limestone promontory with its unmistakable shape, will surely leave you speechless. 

Fun fact: Many scenes from the famous TV series "Màkari," based on the novels by Gaetano Savatteri, were filmed in Macari.

After about 30 minutes of navigation, we will reach San Vito Lo Capo, a seaside destination located at the extreme tip of the same name, where a beach of rare beauty awaits, comparable to those of the Caribbean. The fishing village, with its maritime traditions, developed around the ancient Saracen fortress, which was later transformed into a Sanctuary dedicated to Saint Vito.

We will stop at San Vito Lo Capo for about two hours, during which you can explore this charming seaside village, taste local specialties, or simply relax on the beautiful beach.

The Reserve is one of the few stretches of Sicilian coastline without a coastal road, which has helped preserve its pristine and untouched nature, making it one of the most valuable natural areas in the entire region.

During the navigation along the reserve's coastline, we will admire the Lake of Venus, Cala dell'Uzzo, and other picturesque coves, making several stops to allow you to swim in the crystal-clear waters. Visiting the Zingaro Reserve by sea is the best way to appreciate the beauty of this unspoiled land.

We reach the famous Faraglioni of Scopello and the historic Tonnara, one of the most important and ancient tuna fisheries in Sicily. The main structure dates back to the 15th century, but the earliest buildings date as far back as the 13th century. Scopello is a charming little village that grew around an ancient "baglio" – a farm with a large enclosed courtyard – dating back to the 18th century, perched on a hill that overlooks the sea.

After a day full of emotions and discoveries, we set sail for the return to Trapani, where we will arrive in the late afternoon.
